Rolling thunder Soccer team / sportmanship

A couple week ago. i was at my first Special Olympics soccer tournament. i made 3rd captain there are 2 more captain beside me. we lost all three game. the second we got bad sportsmanship from the team we were play against. they where talking trash against our team. so i pull my team together and told them not to worry about it. at least rolling thunder was working hard and trying to get goal and in till somebody had to get hurt. we play the other team 2 week later and we lost one game tie the second and they still trash talk us. rolling thunder is making improvements and getting better. i don't know if we play another game before we go to state. all i know my team will be ready and prepare even though we have a couple of 1st years. i don't know why the other team didn't know sportsmanship but i know the rolling thunder had sportsmanship or fair i know. 

What Is Sportsmanship?

Sportsmanship is defined as:

• playing fair
• following the rules of the game
• respecting the judgment of referees and officials
• treating opponents with respect

Some people define good sportsmanship as the "golden rule" of sports — in other words, treating the people you play with and against as you'd like to be treated yourself. You demonstrate good sportsmanship when you show respect for yourself, your teammates, and your opponents, for the coaches on both sides, and for the referees, judges, and other officials.
But sportsmanship isn't just reserved for the people on the field. Cheerleaders, fans, and parents also need to be aware of how they behave during competition. Sportsmanship is a style and an attitude, and it can have a positive influence on everyone around you.

soccer is a game of mind,thinking,teamwork,believing in each other and making mistakes :)

Team-friends stick with you, kick the ball with you, make goals with you, and always there to support you!

i am scared and nervous about tomorrow game. i hope the rolling thunder soccer team can get the act together and start playing as a time. even if we are one member down. that mean twice the work. 

Soccer team stand as a team nothing can ever separate us. If you try to screw us over we will come back and take you down.

One of the three captains this is my first year doing captain. It differently hard being a captain and trying not get mad at the team. I have pay respect to the team if you want it back. And having patience is the key to a success.

If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just pop it in the net and we'll discuss your options afterwards.

Some play for fun, Some play for popularity, some play like me... they play to win, play hard and play to just be in the game they love Soccer!

Pack and ready to go for the weekend for the special olympics soccer state finals. Let go rolling thunder and golden rush . I will still be proud of both team. Let put all our hard work into games. Let make our town pround of us. Let make the goal. Be pround of what we came to do. Thank to all the parents that taken to all the practice and games. Thank you to all coaches that taught and taken time out of there day to teach and coach us on soccer.

Second game gold rush 2-1 gold rush won and rolling thunder 8 - 4 we also won that game both time are bronze medal

both of the teams from West Branch Special Olympics Soccer won 1 of thei games at the State Games today. They have won the Bronze Medals for both Teams. That is REALLY GREAT GUYS. My Hat is off to you!!!!

Violet just posted that both teams lost their first games. They should be playing their 2nd games shortly. Again I will say that They are already WINNNERS just by being there. As long as you play your best and as Jake says learn from your mistakes. WE are proud of YOU ALL!!!!!!!

I just want to send Good Luck Wishes to District 4 Specal Oylmpics Soccer teams,"Goldrush" And "Rolling Thunder". As they should be playing their games right now. Ths is my son, Jake's team and My neighbor, Violet' team. I couldn't go with them this time so I am sending my good wishes by facebook.

Make sure you keep up on your skills for next year. I am very proud of both teams. They play two hard teams and they play very hard to get goal. I also want to thank the goal rush for cheering us on. I really appreciate it. Thank you to 

all the chaperones that spend time to travel with us. Thank you to the coaches Mary , Chris  Mike and Jessie. For the teams you are winners in my book. I hope everyone will return for next special olympics soccer season. We came together as a team and a family. Thank you for the parents for taking us to all of the soccer things. off to special olymipic local games and state games

well i have start another sport this year and it track and field. yes i am still bowling with the special olympic bowling team. i thought i wouldnt get in with bowling but  i did. so i had a tough decsion to make go with bowling with 2 event or go as a track player with 3 event. so i pick track over bowling. because i thought and talk with another person that me and my ball was ready to go and i want to try a lighter ball because my was a 14 pound bowling ball.
with track on saturaday practice and bowling thursday i am putting in a lot of time into the whole idea getting healthly. i put the best food into my body and i will try and excerise daily to improve my running throwing and jumping skills. yes these are event i am doing. i am doing 100m dash, softball throw and standing long jump. with only one day to practice i deicde to do throw it into overtime. because at home i sit on my lazy butt and watch tv. and the only excerise i get is walking to and from the high school and walk to and from practice. as track goes i will keep updateing this let you all know the progress i am making. know if i can just keep my brother out of my track snack i will be doing good.

A tribute to someone special to me

Today 3 year ago i lost a very loving family to me. I miss her dearly to me. That is my grandma. she went to heaven today. There are time I wish  that we spent more time with her. When I found out that she died i thought it was a snow day but it wasn't  so i went down stairs to see what going on. then my family told me that grandma has past away. I was crying. My family member call us in to school to let them know that brother and i where going be absent for a couple day because of the funreal. We went to school to pick up our homework for the day we where going be gone. Some of my teacher where understanding what happen to us. I had to going and go see all of my teacher the only i didnt see was mr. hawkins and i had a sub for one of my other class. One of my teachers let me off the hook with no homework. i got all my homework from my teacher and i saaid bye to my friends that took alittle longer then my brother that was a freshmen at the time and i was a sophomore. after we got our homework we had to go to kmart and get us some clothes for the funreal or the trip down to Jacksonville ill and  i was on crutches at the time because my spine my right ankle and end up with it broken 6 month later because my brother chase me down the stairs with a remote and a game and a cellphone probley. Why is it hard on me because we had the same birthdays and every trip we make down there where suprise to me. She even live across the dollar genral and a dairy queen down the road from them and a beautiful park also near by. I rember that we grandma and i celebrate our birthday when we where down in jacksonville il.   she never got to see me at my graduation cremony or my open house or help my family prepare for  the party. i was still happy that all my other family member could make it up here for my day for the hard work i put in for my schooling and them help with the prepareness of the party get the place ready to celebrate a milestone for her grandaugther .  i know one thing she was watching eveything from heaven. when we got down to jacksonville we got in late but we all found our place to sleep. The next day my grandpa to us all out for breaskfast at his favorite place. I also wrote a letter to my grandma so she can read it. i dont rember what it said inside that letter. i wish that i live closer to my grandparents. i will alway cherish the memories i have of them. i wasnt ready for her to leave yet but i will rejoin her on heaven with rest of my family. it was even fun when my uncle toke us canoeing it was fun to watch them tip over in the canoes. i thought grandma had a couple of laugh about them doing that. now she miss many more milestones in my like see me in sports track and field, soccer and now basketball. what other milestones see us growing up. and see get my awards that i know that she was proud of me.

It hurts

Few day ago I found out that they where let the St. Joes work crew go. I was on that crew three day weeks and making good money. I spent two day crying because I had no other work beside my volunteer job.  It was because of budget cuts. It was hard to say goodbye where Iwork for a half of school year. The good news they want us to come back and work this summer maybe. Layoff means

The act of suspending or dismissing an employee, as for lack of work or because of corporate reorganization.

Losing a family member is where someone dies.   

 So i ask my friends on fb this question "I don't know what is worst losing a family member or getting layoff you tell me?"
the first person said" Losing a family member is the worst. "
2 person said "Definitely"
3 person that is my sister " Depends on who died"
4 the four person "Don't give up sweetheart, just take a deep breath, and God will lead the way! Hang in there, and I am here for you.... "
I have said "Thanks I need a cheer up"
And the last person said "Hang in there Violet! You're a strong person and can get through anything! Losing someone is the worst.. You can get them back.. you can always find another job.. maybe not tomorrow or six months from now but someday it will all work out... Just keep being positive! I'm here if you need anything :)"
I have to say this atleast I am in a better today then last two days.

my friend are being very supportive right that is also helping me out well i feeling down.  They all doing very well trying there best and cheering me up. Last night I thought I didn't know who I was or who was my friends are. HB was trying her best to keep my mind off what just happen that day. So were my friends are doing the same thing. I even try and make my laugh at work. I try everything. Didnt know why it was so hard to give this one. And was easier to give up the other ones i work at. Like the chamber of  commerce I work there for a half of school year and the glass slipper for the other half of that school. Plus I had my the main office that I really didnt or I did care for. Then i had the OHHS custodian and i love doing that i am contuine to do today. Then last summer i work at the boy scout camp that was a lot of fun and hot. They too want us to come back. I am looking for to doing that this summer.      

New Years Resolution

The last few days I was debateing to a resolution for the next year or not.  So I thought to try it this year but keeping it simple and fun. If I dont make the goal I set I am not worry about it I can keep trying till I get it.  
A New Year's resolution is a commitment that a person makes to one or more lasting personal goals, projects, or the reforming of a habit. This goal must be reached by the Next New Year. Keep in mind that this is a goal, not a wish and should be something that you as a person could strive for.
This lifestyle change is generally interpreted as advantageous. A New Year's Resolution is generally a goal someone sets out to accomplish in the coming year. Some examples include resolutions to donate to the poor more often, to become more assertive, or to become more environmentally responsible. A key element to a New Year's Resolution that sets it apart from other resolutions is that it is made in anticipation of the New Year, and new beginnings. People committing themselves to a new year's resolution plan to do so for the whole following year.

My goal for this year are.
1. Is to stay postive
      A.I am going make big changes in my life. 1. I am not going let be take control of me if they are not    older in me. 2. I run my own life none can run it for me. 3. I will do one positive thing for me to keep me from the bad feeling. I been having lately. I am sorry that I think that way.
       B.For the last month or so. i been practicing on being more postitive there where quite time i was negitve or feeling down. i wonder how many people like me this way. i know change is hard. i think i was doing it they think they can boss a disabilty or hanicapped around. i feel like starting a blog. if i this interest in writing. i want know your opinions on it. hobad w you think i doing      
2. Is to improve my skills
      A. To able to go to the special olympic state games
      B. to gain more confidence
      C. to get more strikes and spares

Good News i am able to go to the special Olympic state games for soccer and bowling over or at least bowling 100 or higher and i join a Monday bowling league with crc group. plus i am using my grandma bowling ball i am also happy with the confidence.

Bad News i am having a hard time with the positive attitude but i will continue to work on with friend and caseworker. plus i will tell me when i get angry or upset i will calm down and and think thing out before and after i react on the issues. i will trying and get dairy or a notebook to think and share with someone i can trust. i hope i can improve on this goal and make it on time to new year. i hope my friend can be  very supportive and willing to help  

the christmas gift

This year I was part of a Christmas that I will not forget but I will treasure forever. The  day the custodians of OHHS surprise me at walmart of course. I was in so shock. I was speechless. The reason behind that because I walk up to the the high school when ever I can to help them out. They all save up there pop bottles and save up afford money to pull this off. I am proud to say this i am out of a Columbia coat and in a much better warm one.
This year me and a family member decide to give back to those help us out this last year. Plus who was alone for this Christmas.  We made cookies, breads, haystacks and three different kind of chocolate cover pretzels. it was kind of fun to see everyone faces as they receive from us. they will remain in my heart forever. I hope the family that receive something from us that are touch. I know one thing i pay it forward this year
One of the people i pick was my friend and her family from Gladwin mi. My reason is because they help us out and saling a property and she was my best friend and we have sleep over at each other houses and going on bowling day with me and my other friends. Their comment to was me where. Thank you for the gift basket Violet. That's very thoughtful. Merry Christmas! and very nice thank you.
Plus even got the hazel back we give her some goodies too. Plus she give us a turkey.   
Plus we got our neighbor with the surprises. I am thankful all there help this year and get us where we are finally there. I hope who ever got the gift pass on to another person

There are reason these people got pick and I am happy for them. The only bad part is i am final tired of baking  good but i have more to do. Till next Christmas season. I hope everyone has a happy new year. I hope it continues to get better for you    

  

Grief

Everyone lose somebody in there life. Take me for a example I lost my 3 grandparents. I know they are watching over me. I miss them deary because there are times I wish there was more time to spend with them. I know what memories I have of them will all be in my heart. The  thing they do for me I will remember them by. Plus two of our classmates died due to tragic accidents. I lost many other family member too.  
Grandpa Wilson-  When I get home from school I will ran up to his place since we live on the same property as him. I sorry i cant remember much of this person. All I know he died when I was little kid
Grandma Snyder- died Febuary 2008- because of cancer that suppose to start Chemotherapy that following week. She never got see my graduate from high school and be there for the open house party for me but I know one thing she was watching from heaven. Plus we even shared the same birthday together.     
Grandpa Snyder- September 2011- He use to call me his girl. He also died of cancer. I also miss this person tons. all the memories I have left is the fishing pole and trackle box that he give me and my brother that when my grandma was still alive.
There are times I have to look back at the pictures to keep those memories alive. Or try and do something that they loving makeing like my grandmas peanut bon bons.    
Alex sapp- died today two years ago. because a snowmobile accident. i didnt know alex well. All I knew the school that I used to go to was hurting when we return back. We were on christmas break at the time I know it was going be hard on the staff and students and friends of Alex.     
Tanya Reilly-April , 2010 I didnt know her much her neither. I know it was going be hard on the staff and students and friends of Tanya and her family. She died in a car accident
Even if the hoilday are rough on me. There are time I cry because I miss them. I know when I was at school or work and I found out I was really upset and crying. I also knew that my friend where there for the support and they where there when I need them. Like a shoulder to cry on to help me out or making me laugh. All I have left is my one grandma and lots of aunts and uncle and cousins.
 

Life Goes On

The rain will fall the snow will sparkle, the tree's will blow and the birds will sing, children will dance flowers will grow, music will ring and tears will flow, ice will melt and memories felt. Yesterday i was there, today i am not. The angels called upon me and led me far away. Tears will fall, hearts will break. but i am still there in your heart. I can still be felt. close your eyes can you see me standing there? remember life goes on. one day we will meet but until then enjoy what you have got. If you ever need me just close your eyes and i will be there, open your eyes and i will be gone, now live your life and move on. Remember i am only sleeping. i will never be too far. i will be that star shining down on you, can you see it? tonight i say goodbye, tonight i shed my last tear, i have to leave the angels are near. Fall with the rain, sparkle with the snow, blow with the tree's and sing with the birds, dance with the children and ring with the music, enjoy yourself and be happy, smile and cry sing and dance, laugh and be sad. share moments and express feelings. stengthen and weaken. love and smile. you are still young, your life is yours. forever will i miss you. but now I've been laid to rest. the angel came i got my wings. i can fly, and i can sore i can reach where I've never been before. close your eyes see I'm still standing there.

I love you grandma, grandpa s. and grandpa w. Miss all three of you ton I wish you where still here. I wish that I spent more time with all three of you. The only part I hated was when I never say last good bye or I love you to them. I know one more thing we will are reunited in heaven.
